About us
Altadena Rising is a collective of experienced, Dena-raised Black community organizers dedicated to building spaces and systems that connect our communities with comprehensive recovery after the Eaton Fire. We are committed to uplifting Black families through action, advocacy, and deep-rooted care—prioritizing collaborative relationships, maintaining trust, and delivering results as we reclaim Altadena’s future.
We serve as a clear and consistent source of communication—bridging the gap between peer local relief efforts, philanthropy, government systems, and local Black families—while also acting as the connective tissue between active organizations on the ground serving all communities. By building capacity, supporting with marketing, nurturing community relationships, and helping organizations better tell their stories to secure more funding and attention, we strengthen the ecosystem of recovery and resilience.
